Miss Franklin County Agricultural Fair 2015 Winners
Applications Open for the 2016 Franklin County Agricultural Fair Pageant
The 2nd annual event will be held Saturday, Sept. 10 at Benjamin Franklin Middle School in Rocky Mount.
The fair's pageant committee is searching for contestants to participate in the event, which will take place beginning 12 Noon on Saturday, September 10 at Benjamin Franklin Middle School East Auditorium, 225 Middle School Road in Rocky Mount.
Contestants must reside in Franklin County or an adjoining locality (without a fair pageant program). Every contestant receives a crown, medallion, and gift. Winners receive crown and sashes in addition to gifts. The winner of the Miss Division will receive a $500 scholarship and represent Franklin County in the 2017 Miss Virginia Association of Fairs Pageant at The Homestead Resort, January 6-8, 2017, with entry and room expenses provided.
The pageant will crown winners in the following age divisions:
- Beautiful Baby (boy or girl)
- Ages 0-12 months
- Ages 13-23 months
- Baby: Ages 2-3
- Little: Ages 4-6
- Young: Ages 7-9
- Pre-Teen: Ages 10-12
- Junior Miss: Ages 13-16
- Miss: Ages 17-22
Contestants in Beautiful Baby can be a boy or girl, and will compete in an outfit of choice (Harley wear, gown, dress, suit, etc.). Contestants in the Baby through Pre-Teen Divisions will compete in gown only. They will model in gown twice. Contestants in the Junior Division will compete in gown, casual, and on stage question during casual wear. Contestants in the Miss Division will compete in gown, casual, interview, onstage question, platform speech, and photogenic. Platform speech will be during casual wear and onstage question will be during gown. Photogenic photo must be black and white.
Also, there will be a chance to win Miss Outgoing Personality 2016. Winner will receive a crown and sash, same as age division winners. In order to win Outgoing Personality, the contestant will collect funds. The contestant with the most amount of funds collected in her name will win.
Entry deadline for the pageant is September 2. The division in which a contestant competes will be determined by their age on the day of competition.
The Miss Franklin County Agricultural Fair Pageant is organized and run entirely by local volunteers. Funds raised from these pageants will go toward the scholarship fund for the Miss Franklin County Agricultural Fair, a preliminary to the Miss Virginia Association of Fairs Pageant.

On Stage Practice: On stage practice will be held at Benjamin Franklin Middle School East Auditorium on Friday, Sept. 9 from 6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Competition Day: On the day of competition doors will open at 10 a.m. for contestants to begin getting ready. Dressing room will be in east gym.
