2019 Fair Pageant
Miss Franklin County Agricultural Fair Pageant
The 5th annual event will be held on Saturday, August 10th at Benjamin Franklin Middle School in Rocky Mount.
On Saturday, August 10th at Benjamin Franklin Middle School in Rocky Mount, the Miss Franklin County Agricultural Fair’s pageant committee will host the 5th annual event featuring contestants residing in Franklin County and surrounding counties that are within two hours (without a fair pageant program). Every contestant will receive a crown and gift. Winners receive crown, sashes, and trophy in addition to gifts. The winner of the Miss Division, will receive a $500 cash scholarship, $500 scholarship to Patrick Henry Community College, and represent Franklin County in the 2020 Miss Virginia Association of Fairs Pageant in Hot Springs, VA.
The pageant will crown winners in the following divisions:
- Beautiful Baby (boy or girl)
- Ages 0-12 months
- Ages 13-23 months
- Wee Baby: Ages 2-3
- Little: Ages 4-6
- Young: Ages 7-9
- Pre-Teen: Ages 10-12
- Junior Miss: Ages 13-16
- Miss: Ages 17-22
- Ms.: Ages 23+
- Spirit of Miss Franklin County Agricultural Fair
- Miss Outgoing Personality
Contestants in Beautiful Baby can be a boy or girl, in an outfit of choice (Harley wear, gown, dress, suit, etc.), optional photogenic. Contestants in the Wee Baby through Pre-Teen, and Ms. Divisions will compete in gown only, optional photogenic. Contestants in the Junior Division will compete in gown, casual, and on-stage question during casual wear, optional photogenic. Contestants in the Miss Division will be competing in gown, casual, interview, onstage question, platform speech, and photogenic. Platform speech will be during casual wear and onstage question during gown. Miss photogenic photo must be a head-shot in black and white.
Spirit of Miss Franklin County Agricultural Fair – Title will be given to a participant as recognition for his/her hard work and effort as a contestant in the pageant.
All contestants are eligible to win Miss Outgoing Personality 2019. In order to win Outgoing Personality, contestants collect funds. The contestant with the most amount of funds collected in her/his name win. Winner receive a crown, sash, and trophy.
Application deadline is July 18, 2019. The division in which a contestants competes is determined by their age on the day of competition.
The Miss Franklin County Agricultural Fair Pageant is organized and run entirely by local volunteers. Funds raised from the pageant go toward the scholarship fund for the Miss Franklin County Agricultural Fair, a preliminary to the Miss Virginia Association of Fairs Pageant.
Free Modeling Clinic & Parent Informative Meeting
July 18, 2019 (5:30 – 7:00 p.m.)
Franklin County Public Library – Main Branch, 355 Franklin St., Rocky Mount
Open to anyone who would like to learn more about pageants. You’ll get beauty, makeup, and hair tips. There will be dresses available to try on. Modeling practice will be provided.
As your children are modeling and learning the pageant layout, you may take the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about pageant day and areas of competition. All your pageant questions will be answered.
